Parish Ambassadors

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) works with dioceses across the United States to recruit, train, and support CRS Parish Ambassadors whose goal is to integrate CRS’ mission of global solidarity into parish life. Parish Ambassadors collaborate with their pastors and parish staff to plan and implement ministries that engage others about how to live out their faith in solidarity with the poor and vulnerable overseas.

Parish Ambassadors promote global economic justice, peace, advocacy, and service by carrying out events that raise awareness, educate, and encourage stewardship for our brothers and sisters around the world. Ambassadors choose from a variety of CRS ministries to bring to their parishes, including CRS fair trade sales, CRS speakers, service opportunities such as Helping Hands, participation in the Catholics Confront Global Poverty initiative, and CRS Rice Bowl.

Ambassadors commit to service as part of their faith journey and belief in the principles of Catholic social teaching. They seek ways to integrate their faith with works in order to live out the Gospel message to serve and love others.
