Coffee in English

Fair Trade Coffee House Script

Have you ever been to a coffee house event on your campus? You know…music, poetry, bad comedy, etc… Why not hold a similar event, plus help educate your community about Fair Trade at the same time? Well here it is, the CRS Fair Trade Coffee House. It’s one of the few places where you can both hear your favorite Bon Jovi covers, and serve small-scale farmers around the world!

From Crop to Cup

CRS works at every step in the fair trade coffee value chain to make the coffee trade fair for disadvantaged farmers, and to help Catholics bring their values to bear in the fair trade marketplace. This value chain explains the differences between the fair trade value chain and the conventional one.

Life as a Coffee Farmer

Participants will play a life-sized game and will be faced with situations and decisions coffee producers deal with every day. Players will experience states of poverty and oppression, and learn about fair trade standards.

Middle/High School Activity: Coffee Value Chain Simulation The Coffee Trader Simulation

This activity is designed to help participants identify the challenges faced by small-scale producers around the world by inviting them to act out a series of trading simulations.
