Pope Benedict XVI reminds us that consumers have specific social responsibility, that purchasing is always a moral, and not simply an economic, act. CRS Fair Trade creates opportunities for us to respond to this call in a small but significant way every day through the choices we make as consumers. As such, there is a strong connection between fair trade and the core principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
