As a department chair at Incarnate Word high school in San Antonio, TX, Ann Greene’s day job is engaging youth to explore issues of globalization and global solidarity. Her students have worked on projects such as the Tents of Hope campaign to draw attention to the plight of the people of Darfur in Sudan. Ann also spreads the word about Fair Trade is by volunteering with at events such as the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry held December 2008 in Cleveland. Rick Yelton, CRS Fair Trade Ambassador of New Orleans, is not only a great word-of-mouth marketer for economic justice, he is a passionate advocate for youth AND for the environment. When he’s not doing Work of Human Hands crafts sales a local market, Rick works at the Alliance for Affordable Energy helping at-risk kids train for “green collar” jobs.
