The Catholic Relief Services Fair Trade Program creates opportunities for you to bring the values of our faith to bear in the marketplace, and to make consumer choices that help lift our brothers and sisters around the world out of poverty. CRS works in partnership with more than one dozen Fair Trade Organizations to bring Fair Trade handcrafts, coffee and chocolate to thousands of communities across the United States. Catholic parishes host Work of Human Hands sales to create ethical consumption opportunities for members of their communities. Catholic institutions serve exclusively Fair Trade coffee as a demonstration of their commitment to live out Gospel values. Teachers in Catholic schools use Fair Trade chocolate as a tasty way to raise funds for school activities and bring the lessons of Catholic Social Teaching into their classrooms. Through the CRS Fair Trade Program, the number of Catholic individuals and organizations involved in the fast-growing Fair Trade movement increases every year.
