New Web Resources for the New Year
Our friends and allies at the Fair Trade Federation and the Fair Trade Resource Network have ended the year with valuable new resources to support your efforts to live a Fair Trade life in 2008! The new website from information hub, FTRN, is designed to help you participate in a marketplace that values the people who make the food we eat and the goods we use. When you land on the website you’ll find the latest news about the world of Fair Trade and can click through pages filled with resources and opportunities to link with other conscious consumers, such as World Fair Trade Day, May 10, 2008. Congratulations to FTRN for this latest contribution to the Fair Trade movement!
Over at the Fair Trade Federation, an association of 100% Fair Trade Organizations, a completely redesigned website is also now at your service! Thanks in part to support from the CRS Fair Trade Fund, the FTF site now offers a searchable database of Fair Trade products, listings of Fair Trade travel opportunities (start planning that 2008 vacation now!), and informational resources such as a list of myths about Fair Trade.
If your New Year’s resolutions include learning more about Fair Trade in order to promote economic justice, bookmark these sites! If you come up with a great new idea or just want to share ideas, be sure to check in with this blog and let us know how you are making trade fair in 2008!
